About Me and My Painting Style

I began to paint using the one stroke style developed by Donna Dewberry. I was introduced to her painting method watching craft day on QVC. Since I received my first kit and then every kit and book she ever published (lol), it has been a wonderful enlightening experience. My skills and library grew to include other styles, methods, and artists techniques. One Stroke Painting is the perfect technique for those who desire to learn how to paint. I recommend One Stroke Painting as a  prerequisite to any other painting method.

Painting has given me new insight to what "detail" really means and has opened my eyes to a whole new world.  Painting and becoming an artist has brought out skills that I never knew existed. It also has shown me a different perception to detail.  I never thought twice the veins of a leaf or the color tones in a cloud.

Painting takes me to a different part of life, an escape to somewhere else that I  love be. Every time I finish a piece, I take a step back and become amazed that I created such a beautiful work of art.  I call it the "Magic In My Fingertips." It is executed with no pattern and  no plan.  It is just an expression of my inner self and an interpretation of what my eyes, the widows to world, sees. Every piece that I create is special to me and hope it becomes just as special to you.
